LocationThe A.W.R.A. equipment room is located in the basement of the Morgan Site on Morgan Crescent. Use the door on the northeast corner.
Uniform PolicyA.W.R.A. supplies uniforms for our hockey, baseball, softball and soccer teams. The uniform is signed out at the beginning of the season with a $20.00 cash deposit. We will take cheques as a last resort but they will be cashed promptly. At the end of the season when the uniform is returned in good shape, your $20.00 deposit is returned.
The uniform is to be washed after every use and air dried. If you must use a drier then use the lowest temperature setting possible to ensure the numbers are not damaged. A.W.R.A. understands that there will be some wear and tear but negligent damage will result in the $20.00 deposit being forfeited. Examples of negligent damage include severe rips as well as stains other than grass and dirt. Uniforms returned without being washed will also result in the deposit being forfeited.
Hockey/Soccer: One person will sign for and submit a deposit for all the team uniforms. At the end of the season one person will return all the team uniforms and receive the deposit back.
Baseball/Softball: Each player will come in individually to try on and sign for their uniform and pay the deposit. It works best if the coach arranges for the whole team to come in at once. Please contact the the equipment manager to arrange a time. At the end of the season the coach will be told when the team can bring back uniforms for a refund and the coach is expected to call his team with the details. Again, each player must come in individually to return their uniform and receive their deposit back.
Equipment PolicyA.W.R.A. provides most, if not all, of the equipment a team will require. There is no deposit required for equipment at this time. The Team Coach or Manager will sign for all the equipment. Goalie equipment may be signed out separately. The person signing out the equipment will be held responsible if the equipment is lost or damaged.
Goalie Equipment: Equipment must be air dried after every use. Please do not leave equipment in the trunk of your car or in the equipment bag between uses as mould will develop.
Baseball/Softball/Soccer: Please clean equipment of mud and dirt before returning it. A.W.R.A. understands that balls go missing but return as many balls as possible. A.W.R.A. has a limited supply of practice baseballs because they are often not turned in at the end of the season.
First Aid Kits: First Aid Kits are supplied for team use. If you hurt yourself at home use your own supplies. Advise the equipment manager if you use the First Aid Kit so it can be resupplied. If you want your First Aid Kit resupplied during the season call the equipment manager.
Please help the Assinaboia West Recreational Association supply clean uniforms and equipment by treating what you have signed for as if you have paid for it.
